Photographing Your Baby
NEW Props! Baby & 1 - 4 yr old Angel wings!
We like to photograph children and babies in their own home or at a nearby park. There is a $30.00 shoot fee. A week after your shoot your photographs will be on one of our proofing sites for you and your family to view. You may then order prints (pricing is in Printing Services) or buy your fully edited, full image qualtiy photo CD with Copy Right Release. Babies smile bests right after their naps and after they have eaten. To schedule we pick a good day for you and a tentative time. You call us after your baby wakes up from a good nap and we come and set up while your baby is eating. This is the best way to insure a good smile. Toddlers are more easily bribed with little pieces of a favorite candy for posing and smiling.

Getting the Best Baby Pictures
When Should We Take Them?
The day of or day after birth:
If you are feeling well, your baby looks good and you want pictures of your child’s first day of life we come to the hospital and spend about 20 to 30 minutes capturing your baby. Theses look great in black and white.
During the 1st Month:
We usually come to your home to take these photographs. We have some “props” for boys and girls, but we can use whatever flowers, favorite toys, blankets that you have for these as well. Schedule this shoot this shoot so that it is right after you child has woke up from sleep and after they have eaten if you want some pictures of your baby being alert. It is best to pick and time and then call us when your baby wakes up and you’re feeding it so we have time to come over and set up.
During the 2nd Month:
If you want a family picture this is a better time to do one, your infant is now old enough to be alert a little more, but you still need to keep in mind the best time to shoot your baby is after they’ve slept and eaten. We can usually do these outside if you would like, but if you want the “Studio” look to them we can still do these in your home. If you still want your infant to have sleeping pictures we can come during a nap time.
During the 3rd Month:
Your baby is smiling more consistently, the best time to capture these smiles is right after the nap and after they’ve eaten. This is also a great time to do a family portrait which you can do right before or right after your babies portraits.
During the 6th Month and On: Your baby may be big enough to sit up, and when they are ready to stand holding things it is very fun to take them to the park to get pictures outdoors.
What should they wear?
Traditionally we start with naked or diapered pictures for the babies, and then put on a favorite dressier outfit, but you can dress your child however you want. With girls it is fun to have a little bow in their hair or a head band so that there is something to color in with a black and white photograph. Baby boys look very cute in button up the front white shirts with a little tie.
